About Mike Taylor

Over the past 31 years Mike has worked successfully in the Banking and Real Estates Industries.  the first 18 years of his career he spent as a senior executive of both a California Savings and Loan and Thrift and Loan which were owned by his mentor, John E. Anderson, for whom the UCLA Anderson School of Management is named.  Mike was instrumental in successfully navigating the institutions  through the S&L crises of the early 90’s, and was a key contributor in the successful negotiations to sell the institution to a Midwest Bank holding company.

Mike directly supervised a portfolio of over 2 billion in real estate loans and was hands on in successfully working out short sale solutions, loan modifications, and moratorium agreements with the Bank’s borrowers long before there was even a generic name attached to these win-win strategies.

In 1997 Mike switched hats and became one of the Nation’s most successful Prudential Residential Real Estate Sales agents.  Along with his business partner, Mike ranked nationally, as one of the top ten Prudential Real Estate Agents and Teams out of over 63,000 Prudential agents for 9 of the last 13 years.

Mike grew up in Arizona, attended the University of Arizona on a basketball scholarship and completed his education while working full time in the banking industry, earning his Bachelor of Law (1982) and Juris Doctor (1983) degrees, from Western State University College of Law (now Thomas Jefferson School of Law) here in San Diego.

Having spent 31 years in real estate banking and real estate sales, Mike is uniquely qualified to assist homeowners with the sale of their homes, and the negotiations with their lenders.  Knowing how the Bank thinks, understanding their goals, and knowing first-hand the regulatory scrutiny they fall under, is a big advantage when presenting a client’s circumstances for the bank’s consideration, and approval of their short sale request.
